A Note From our Experts

Unique Wood Floors
Jim

Cumaru is one of the hardest woods in the world. The installers burn through their saw blades twice as often when cutting this but it's all worth it seeing a smile on their face after a job well done.

I like how this mill separates Cumaru into light and dark. The Cumaru Dark offers many of the same tones but it includes a higher degree of variance in the planks which allows it to pair well with even more shades of trim and cabinetry.

Unique Wood Floors
Christian

Cumaru is known for its durability and is one of the hardest of all the woods species. It is also a floor that is never out of style due to the beauty of its natural color. I love that it can match up with a lot of different woodworks such as oak cabinets and baseboards.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cumaru, also known as Brazilian Teak, is an exotic wood species from South America that makes excellent wood flooring. Our Cumaru Dark is noted for its richly dark brown coloring. A reddish hue runs throughout, giving a warm glow to this exotic wood. Additionally, our Cumaru Dark offers a fairly uniform coloring overall and from plank to plank. The long-grain pattern of the wood gives a subtle wavy design that is soft and appealing. Our Cumaru Dark is well-known for its high hardness rating, making it an outstanding building material and flooring product. Incorporate its natural hardness with its aluminum oxide polyurethane finish and you have a beautiful prefinished floor that will last for years to come.
